Her name is Lynda Resnick.
And I’m pretty sure she’s in charge of the Illuminati.
The year is 1968, and LR gets stuff done.
She’s 23. She has three kids. And she’s about to take over the world - with an advertising business.
Clients include intellectuals, artists, and entrepreneurs. That’s because - success is compounding. She starts a business to start a network.
And it works.
We’re in the Before Times.
When LR is young, divorced, and introduced to a guy named Stewart Resnick.
He needs help with marketing (for business #1).
They marry instead.
And decide to build an empire.
Here’s the thing.
Boys don’t send flowers anymore.
They’re too expensive, and they die too fast.
So the Resnicks buy a company called Teleflora and change how flowers are sold.
Flowers die. But the vase lasts forever.
It seems obvious now, but LR is the first to put her flowers in a keepsake - like a vase or a mug. The industry takes off.
Five years later, the Resnicks do something similar with a company called Franklin Mint (FM).
Historically, FM makes cool coins. But LR is pretty uninterested in cool coins.
So she makes a Scarlett O’Hara doll that drives $35 million in annual sales. (It’s called the Midas Touch).
Which brings us to the Now Time.
And a whole lot of farmland.
They grow more pistachios and almonds than any other farmer in the world. So yeah, they’re behind the whole nuts & fruit craze too.
You know their stuff:
Fiji Water. Cuties. Halos. Chili flavored pistachios. POM Juice.
They call it The Wonderful Company. And LR is the woman when it comes to marketing.
That’s her.
In the picture above. With Martha Stewart. Making POMtinis. A cocktail featured at the Academy Awards for three consecutive years.
So yeah, let’s not forget about her network.
“If I want to meet someone, I find a way” - LR. She’s friends with Tom Hanks. Sylvester Stallone. Barbra Streisand.
Say it with me - Illuminattttti.
Let’s break it down:
If he’s sent you flowers. If you’ve bought a nicer doll. If you’ve eaten a pistachio. An almond. A Cutie.
Then you’ve likely contributed to the Resnick’s $4.5 billion net worth.
So yeah, she’s the woman.
And that’s the skinny.
